Help Dylan Wickrama’s incredible journey be made into an adventure travel documentary.

After three years riding around the world, Sri Lankan adventurer Dylan Wickrama reached the end of the road, also known as the Darien Gap – an impenetrable wall of Panamanian jungle.

Undaunted, he built a raft powered by his BMW R 1150 GS and a tiny sail, and set out across the Pacific Ocean in the direction of Colombia.

His story has captured the imagination of people worldwide and a production company in Austria now hopes to make a documentary film about it, with a little ‘crowdfunding’ help from all of us…

AUTHENTIC ADVENTURE.

It is no surprise to anyone that knows him that Dylan Wickrama’s life story sounds like a trailer for a movie, because it could be – albeit with one important difference.

This is a completely true story that actually happened to a young boy with twinkling eyes who grew up staring at the sea and wondering what else was beyond the horizon, and if he would ever get the chance to see any of it.

His three years, four continents and 130,000 miles (210,000 km) of discovery from the saddle of his trusty BMW R 1150 GS affectionately known as “Bruce”, would provide enough memories to fill several travel books.

But it was when he arrived in Panama towards the end of his global odyssey, that the true story that inspired this documentary film crowdfunding project really begins.
