OSBORNE EARNS HIS FIRST MOTO WIN AT HIGH POINT NATIONAL!
ANDERSON AND POURCEL FINISH 2ND AND 6TH IN 450, DAVALOS FINISHES 16TH IN 250
The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing team had a great day at the High Point National, held at the High Point Raceway in Mount Morris, PA, on Saturday, the first east coast round of the 2016 AMA Pro Motocross Championship. Despite a rough, rutted track, the team earned two pole positions with both Zach Osborne and Jason Anderson earning the fastest qualifying times in their respective classes, and teammate Christophe Pourcel posting the second fastest time in the 450 class. History was then made with Zach Osborne earning his first career moto win in the 250 class.
High Point is one of Zach Osborne’s favorite races of the season, and his confidence in the track showed as he posted the fastest qualifying time during the 250 practice sessions. He was in the top-five at the start of the first 250 moto and made the pass for the second-place spot in lap two. Looking solid, he navigated his Husqvarna FC 250 into the lead around the halfway mark and held strong to the finish. The victory marked his first career moto win. He pulled a top-five start in the second moto and fought up to fourth by the checkered flag. The 1-4 finish gave him second overall on the day.
